HDMI works fine, able to see my post screen and RAID screen show up and enter the BIOS fine. It just won't do it with DisplayPort.. New setup is DP - DP or HDMI - DP and thats where i started to see such issue KiDCady; 1 Link to comment Share on other sites. More sharing options.

I managed to get the Display port working again on the problem child monitor. Ended up hooking up a HDMI cable, going into System setup > DisplayPort Stream .and setting the option to 1.2. This managed to bring the display port back to life again. FWIW I could not get into System Setup without connecting the HDMI cable.

DP has a power pin, but it's only to power an adapter (3.3V 500mA). But according to specification, cables are not allowed to carry the DP_PWR pin. Dude 3 years later and you helped me brother just bought the 4070ti and b550-f and the damn thing wouldn't boot at all with the gpu on the new motherboard I finally had something click and I put hdmi in and it booted fine.but DP worked and booted fine on my old system, you were my last option and it worked or else the mobo was going back lol.appreciate bro
